This upcoming jackpot could potentially rank as the fifth largest in the history of the Mega Millions game. Each Mega Millions ticket costs $2. However, the likelihood of winning the jackpot stands at 1 in 302,575,350, while the odds of winning any prize in the Mega Millions game are 1 in 24, as stated by lottery officials.
Tickets for the game are sold in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
