A missing North Carolina woman was found dead nearly a week after she was reported missing, and police are investigating her death as a homicide.
Heather Williams, a 25-year-old woman, was last spotted on January 4 in Fayetteville. She was seen entering a light-colored, 4-door sedan that had a sunroof. Authorities from the Fayetteville Police Department classified her as endangered due to her cognitive impairment and difficulties with speech.
On Friday, police said, they investigated a wooded area near Newark and State avenues, where they found Williams’ body, WRAL reported.
