A South Carolina woman is facing criminal charges for killing her newborn son last week and discarding his body in the trash.
Responding to an apartment on March 7, Easley police allegedly found An Ngo’s newborn son in a trash bag. Ngo, 31, reportedly stabbed her son with a metal letter opener during birth and delivery hours earlier, according to WXIA.
Afterward, Ngo allegedly cut the deceased baby’s umbilical cord and put his body in a trash bag in a different room.
Expressing shock at the incident, Easley police Chief Brandon Liner said, “I will be honest with you: I’ve been doing this two and a half decades, and I’ve never seen anything this gruesome. I’ve never seen anything this bad,” as reported by WYFF.
Ngo is charged with homicide by child abuse. She remains jailed without bond.
