The Traitors viewers have slammed the Seer twist for ‘ruining’ the show as Charlotte and Frankie battled it out during Friday’s grand final.  Â
At the beginning of the episode, Frankie discovered Charlotte was a Traitor after she used her powers as the Seer to unveil her identity.Â
The situation that followed was an uncomfortable clash of determination between Frankie and Charlotte as they tried to persuade the others of their innocence. Charlotte unexpectedly accused her friend of being a traitor, completely shifting the dynamic of the argument.
While this confrontation provided gripping television, many viewers watching from home were unimpressed by the sudden turn of events. Some commented that the new rule had negatively impacted the show, labeling the twist as a significant error on the part of the producers.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans didn’t hold back on their opinions. Â
They penned: ‘This thing with the seer has completely ruined’
A viewer expressed their sentiments on social media, stating, “I’ve enjoyed watching this season of @the_traitors, but I believe that the introduction of the seer power has somewhat spoiled the finale. It has definitely added excitement, but it has turned the conclusion into a two-person competition instead of involving the entire cast.”
‘The seer has ruined it for me this year, absolute nonsense’; ‘Game ruined by the Seer rule.’
‘Even if you didn’t believe Frankie, there is no way you wouldn’t get rid of Charlotte anyway. The game has been ruined.’
‘Seer a massive mistake by the producers. Ruined the whole game.’Â Â
Earlier in the episode, Frankie had suspected the results to confirm Charlotte was a Faithful, while viewers obviously knew Frankie would be shocked.Â
Opening the letter revealing Charlotte’s traitorous identity, Frankie broke down tears as she exclaimed: ‘Oh my god. It’s quite difficult. It’s a shock to my heart.’
Charlotte then replied: ‘You realise this doesn’t leave this room. The game continues.’
Realising she was about to be framed, Frankie added: ‘Oh my gosh Charlotte. You are going to say that I’m the Traitor aren’t you?’Â
During a tense breakfast the pair were left battling it out as they each accused each other of lying.Â
As Charlotte left the room in tears, the two spent the day trying to prove their innocence to the remaining faithfuls, Jake, Leanne and Alexander.Â
In a heartfelt exchange in the kitchen, Frankie tried to convince Leanne of her faithful status as she said: ‘I am a mummy. I know what this means for you and your boys. You have been through. I swear on making my boys proud I am telling the truth.’Â
As things got incredibly heated around the roundtable, Charlotte made a final attempt to throw the scent of her as she exclaimed:Â ‘I would not take her [Frankie] to the endgame. My god.’Â
However suspicions were then raised over Alexander as the remaining contestants pondered over whether there could still be two Traitors left in the game.Â
Yet it was game over for Charlotte as all four of the contestants voted for her and she was banished.Â
Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown eventually emerged victorious in Friday’s explosive final after a third incredible series.Â
Francesca Rowan-Plowden, Leanne, Alexander Dragonetti, Jake and Charlotte Berman were the five remaining contestants going into the tense final.Â
But it was Faithfuls who managed to out smart the Traitors and bag the £94,600 prize money.Â
In the most fiery roundtable yet, the Faithfuls banished the final Traitor of the series. But in yet another new twist the ‘Welsh’ business director didn’t reveal her status as she left the castle.Â
It left the four remaining players considering whether there could be a final villain, with suspicions landing on Alexander in particular, who was the next to be banished.
But the game didn’t end there as the final three also all voted to banish again in an excruciating round of endgame.Â
While Frankie opted to banish Jake, Leanne and Jake then turned on Frankie as she became the final player to leave the castle, leaving Leanne and Jake victorious.Â
