Kim Kardashian Drops 'Santa Baby' Cover Produced by Travis Barker

Kim Kardashian is turning up the jam once again!

The famous Kardashians star and co-founder of Skims, who is 44 years old, surprised her fans with the release of a rendition of Eartha Kitt‘s song “Santa Baby” just in time for Christmas on Sunday, December 22.

This cover by Kim was produced by her brother-in-law, none other than Travis Barker, who is married to Kim’s older sister, Kourtney Kardashian. The track was made available on streaming platforms through DTA Records, Barker’s record label, and Kim’s own Kimsaprincess, Inc.

On the same day, Kim also premiered a music video to accompany her new musical release. In the imaginative video, Kim is seen moving on all fours wearing a blonde wig surrounded by scattered money on the floor. The visual also features a diverse set of characters coming together for an unusual Christmas celebration. Towards the end of the video, there is a close-up shot of a peculiar Santa holding a video camera, who is later revealed to be Macaulay Culkin, the star of the famous holiday film, Home Alone.

“SANTA BABY, FILM DIRECTED BY NADIA LEE COHEN & CHARLIE DENIS, SONG PRODUCED BY TRAVIS BARKER,” Kim shared via X on Sunday along with the unsettling music video.

Kim’s Christmas cover comes 13 years after she made her music debut with the song, “Jam (Turn It Up),” produced by Grammy-winning music producer The-Dream, in 2011. At the time, Kim said she was releasing the track in aid of charity and that she would not be releasing a full-length album.

During an August 2014 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Kim admitted she regretted her foray into music.

“It’s definitely a memory and it was a fun experience. We gave the proceeds to a cancer organization,” she said. “But if there’s one thing in life that I wish I didn’t do … I don’t like it when people kind of dabble into things they shouldn’t be. And that I don’t think I should have. Like, what gave me the right to think I could be a singer? Like, I don’t have a good voice.”

Oh, what fun it is to attend a Kardashian Christmas Eve party! The famous family is known for throwing an extravagant bash every year. The tradition began with Kris Jenner, but Kim Kardashian and sister Kourtney Kardashian have since picked it up for their mom. When the momager passed the baton on a June 2019 […]

As well as returning to the recording studio, Kim has been making big strides in Hollywood this year. She is currently filming a new legal drama created by Ryan Murphy for Hulu. All’s Fair, which boasts an all-star cast including Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, Glenn Close and more, will premiere in 2025. Kim will also star in and produce a comedy for Netflix titled The Fifth Wheel.

“It’s wonderful,” Paulson praised Kim’s work ethic in an interview with Variety in November. “She’s incredibly present. She’s fun, she’s game, she’s alive to the moment. She’s great.”
