PRESIDENT Donald Trump has publicly unveiled his plans to build the most lethal fighter jet ever built by awarding Boeing billions of dollars.
Trump met with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in the Oval Office Friday to announce the project, which has a nod to himself in the name.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said he was allocating money to complete a sixth-generation fighter jet titled F-47.
Trump praised the advanced stealth capabilities of the F-47, emphasizing its cutting-edge technology and unmatched power. Referring to it as a “beautiful name,” he highlighted its significance and impact.
“There’s never been anything like it.”
Trump said the fleet would be built in the next “couple of years” during his administration and revealed the production is already underway.
According to Hegseth, the project will establish “the next generation of air dominance.”
In a show of strength and commitment to allies, Trump compared the F-47 to other fighter jets in the US military arsenal. He expressed that the introduction of the F-47 conveys a strong message of steadfast support to allied nations.
