Heart-stopping moment Ukrainian commandos ‘kill 17 Russian soldiers & capture a dozen more’ in devastating ambush

THIS is the moment Ukrainian commandos allegedly killed 17 Russian soldiers and captured a dozen more in a special forces ambush.

The daring raid took place in the Kursk region where Kyiv still holds a large swathe of Russian territory that it captured during a bold invasion.

Footage published by the Ukrainian armed forces depicts Ukrainian soldiers maneuvering through a thick forest and engaging in gunfire with suspected Russian targets.

A heated gunfight then takes place in the woods after which Russian captives are seen emerging from a bunker to surrender.

They are shown kneeling beside a forest track in the battle zone.

The PoWs are believed to be from Russian millitary’s 810th Marines Brigade.

The 73rd Naval Special Operations Centre in Kyiv, in collaboration with soldiers from the 6th Ranger Regiment, asserts that they have neutralized 17 adversaries and taken 12 others into custody in the operation.

“The Special Forces soldiers entered Russia’s positions and captured 12 troops,” said Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces.

The ambush followed  Ukrainian advances during a counterattack south of Korenevo, Kursk region.

Ukraine was able to seize a large chunk of Kursk during the surprise August invasion.

But Russia has reclaimed much of the territory that grabbed in August with the help of some 11,000 North Korean troops.

Following an acknowledgment of the necessity for “crisis management” in the area, Russian President Vladimir Putin has designated Alexander Khinshtein, a prominent Member of Parliament, as the interim governor of the Kursk region.

It comes after Russia suffered its bloodiest month yet in its war with Ukraine, with almost 46,000 troops lost to Putin’s relentless meatgrinder.

Russian soldiers were being slaughtered and wounded at an average daily rate of 1,523 in November, according to UK intelligence services.

November also saw the most damaging single day for Russia, with 2,030 losses on November 28.

This was the first time more than 2,000 Russian losses were recorded in a single day.

A war loss means a soldier has been killed or seriously wounded and put out of action.

November marked the fifth month in a row that the grim record for losses has been broken, and the figure was a considerable increase on October’s total of almost 42,000.

But heartless Vlad is seemingly indifferent to the colossal pain he is inflicting on his people.

Ukraine holds first war talks with Trump’s top team

By Vera Demertzis, Foreign News Reporter

TOP Ukrainian officials held high-level talks with US President-elect Donald Trump’s team to thrash out plans to end the conflict with Russia.

The talks came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy indicated that he may be open to negotiations.

The Ukrainian delegation, led by Andriy Yermak, met with key members of Donald Trump’s transition team, including National Security Adviser nominee Mike Waltz, and Keith Kellogg.

Vice President-elect JD Vance joined in the discussions.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Ukraine plans to announce its readiness for peace, though Yermak emphasised that any agreement must be sustainable.

Zelensky has recently signalled Ukraine could agree to a cease-fire if Ukraine were permitted to join Nato.

Ukraine would also seek to win back Ukrainian territory occupied by Russia through diplomatic pressure.

Meanwhile, British troops could be deployed to Ukraine to enforce an 800-mile buffer zone as part of Donald Trump’s plan to end the conflict.

Details of the President-Elect’s plan to end the war emerged after a call with Ukrainian President Zelensky following his victory.

His plan sees a demilitarised zone down the locked front line as well as Kyiv agreeing not to join NATO for 20 years.

In exchange, the US would continue to arm Ukraine to the teeth to prevent Putin from invading again.

A member of the Trump team told the Wall Street Journal: “We can do training and other support but the barrel of the gun is going to be European.

“We are not sending American men and women to uphold peace in Ukraine. And we are not paying for it. Get the Poles, Germans, British and French to do it.”

Rather than pulling back or even holding the frontline, he is pushing forward on multiple fronts, including Kursk, Kupiansk and Toretsk, in an attempt to snatch more land.

His army’s advances in these areas are gradual and come at a huge cost to the Russian people.

The bloodthirsty maniac is also planning new offensives in two more directions, in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

He evidently believes his crazed obsession with expanding his domain is worth the sickening casualty rate.

There are no signs Vlad intends to let up; the UK’s Defence Intelligence expects Russia’s casualty rate to remain above 1,000 per day through December 2024, despite the onset of winter.

Whilst Ukraine is losing ground on multiple fronts, its forces have continued to hold parts of the Kursk region they took in August.

Experts predict that Ukraine will retain a defensive mentality over winter, at least until Donald Trump’s inauguration in January when the picture will become clearer.

When Trump enters the White House, he will deploy a plan being worked on behind the scenes that he hopes will end the war in Ukraine within a matter of days.

He regularly promised to bring peace to the region “within 24 hours” during the election campaign this year.

Details of the plan have been emerging, including Trump’s intention to use military support for Ukraine as a “carrot and stick” tool to bring the warring leaders to the discussion table.

If the Russian warmonger kept snatching land and refused to join peace talks, Trump would make him suffer by pouring more cash into Ukraine’s military.
