A Hawaii woman who vanished in California last month has reportedly been found safe.
According to TMZ, Hannah Kobayashi was reportedly contacted by a family member last Thursday. She had apparently chosen to travel to Mexico on November 12 after failing to board a flight to New York at Los Angeles International Airport earlier in the month.

Approximately two weeks after Kobayashi’s disappearance, her father tragically took his own life by jumping from a parking deck at the same airport while searching for her. His death was determined to be a suicide.
The Los Angeles Police Chief, Jim McDonnell, disclosed that Kobayashi had deliberately missed her flight. Authorities have also confirmed that they have no suspicions of any criminal activity involved in her case.
Kobayashi’s family became concerned when they got peculiar texts from her claiming someone was trying to steal her money and identity. They also disputed claims that she left on her own accord as police deemed her a voluntary missing person.
In light of the latest development, Los Angeles police issued the following statement to TMZ:
“We are happy to learn that Hannah has been found safe. Now that we have this new information, this has become a private matter and we will wrap up our investigation.”
