A woman who vanished from her barracks in Virginia last month was reportedly found dead on Monday.

Angelina Resendiz, a 21-year-old sailor, was found dead in a wooded area at the Broad Creek Apartments in Norfolk. She was last seen on May 29 at her barracks in Miller Hall at Naval Station Norfolk, as reported by WVEC.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service has revealed that a Navy sailor is in custody in connection with Resendiz’s death. However, the sailor’s identity has not been released, and the cause of Resendiz’s death remains undisclosed.

Charges against the suspect are pending.
