Missing woman found dead after getting in strange car: 'Somebody knows something'

North Carolina authorities on Jan. 10 found the body of a 25-year-old woman who had been missing for six days.

Heather Williams went missing on January 4 after she was spotted entering a light-colored, four-door sedan around 10 p.m. near Berkshire Road, as reported by the Fayetteville Police Department.

The Fayetteville Police Department announced in a press release that on January 10, 2025, while following up on the case of the missing and endangered person, their detectives discovered a deceased individual in a wooded area close to Newark Ave and State Ave.

The woman was identified as Williams, and FPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating.
