CHICAGO (WLS) — A car crash sent a vehicle careening into a Harold’s Chicken fast food restaurant on Chicago’s South Side Monday afternoon.
The crash happened near 91st and Ashland in the city’s Brainerd neighborhood at about 3:20 p.m., according to Chicago police.
A car traveling west on 92nd Street did not stop, resulting in a collision with another car heading north on Ashland. The impact forced the second car into Harold’s Chicken, significantly damaging the front of the building.

The 19-year-old female driver of the westbound vehicle was unharmed and was apprehended by the police. The 58-year-old driver of the other car sustained minor injuries and was transported to Little Company of Mary Hospital in fair condition. His 62-year-old female passenger did not sustain any injuries and declined medical assistance at the scene.
Citations are pending, police said. No further injuries were reported.
And while the Harold’s suffered damage to its front faade, it’s actually still open and taking online orders .
The owner said she’s waiting for the Chicago Department of Buildings for a full assessment of the damage.
