South Carolina authorities on Friday morning made a grisly discovery inside a family’s stately Greer home.
The Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office responded to the home on Marilyn Perry Lane after receiving a call from a neighbor.Â
Upon arrival, the sheriff’s office faced an initial language obstacle, which was swiftly resolved. Deputies then proceeded to enter the residence and made a grim discovery – three deceased individuals were found inside the house. The sheriff’s office promptly addressed the public, stating that at that moment, there seemed to be no imminent danger to the community.
FOX Carolina received confirmation from the local coroner’s office regarding the identities of the three deceased individuals. They were identified as 9-year-old Samantha Samarel, 45-year-old Lina Maria Samarel, and 54-year-old Richard Samarel.
According to Lina Samarel’s professional biography, she was a skilled professional in the healthcare sector, serving as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and a family nurse practitioner. Her experience encompassed various healthcare environments, with a focus on outpatient psychiatry for adults and adolescents dealing with mental health challenges, as well as health and wellness services. Additionally, her Facebook profile indicated past employment with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The coroner’s office and sheriff’s office are investigating the case.
