Following the election, there was a close examination of the Kamala Harris campaign’s financial records by media outlets and Democrat strategists to assess the effectiveness of the $1 billion in donations received. During this scrutiny, it was uncovered that two donations amounting to $500,000 were made to Al Sharpton’s non-profit organization, the National Action Network (NAN).
Recorded in the Harris campaign’s financial transactions on September 5th and October 1st, these donations became a point of concern. Shortly after the October donation to NAN, MSNBC featured a video on Sharpton’s show where Harris conveyed a birthday greeting, referring to him as “a voice of truth, a voice of conscience.”
A mere two weeks later, a friendly interview took place between Sharpton and Harris, during which he posed questions aligning closely with the key messages Harris aimed to emphasize in her campaign. However, there was a notable absence of transparency from Sharpton regarding the donations during their interaction.
