Amanda Knox knows exactly what Joshua Riibe is feeling right now.
The senior at St. Cloud University in Minnesota, who was one of the last people to see University of Pittsburgh student Sudiksha Konanki in the Dominican Republic, departed the Caribbean country on March 19, as confirmed by his legal representatives.
During his stay, Riibe was confined to the Riu Republica resort in Punta Cana, where he was closely monitored by the police for 11 days until a judge determined that his situation was not in compliance with Dominican law. Additionally, the 22-year-old had his phone and passport taken away as part of the restrictions imposed on him.

Expressing his condolences, he stated, “The disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki is tragic, and we cannot imagine the grief her family is experiencing. Sudiksha’s family believes she may have drowned. While the final decision lies with the authorities in the Dominican Republic, we are committed to assisting the Konanki family in any way we can.”
