Amy Schumer is having a lot more sex these days.
Over the weekend, the 43-year-old movie star shared ‘I want to get down more, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about sex.’
The beauty, who is married to chef Chris Fischer, said she has more of a sex drive thanks to the drug Mounjaro which has been ‘great’ for her.
She revealed she has been on the diabetes and weight loss drug Mounjaro for a while now.
Earlier this year she said on The View that she schedules ex with her spouse.
‘We’re pretty corny. We will make love, we will make sweet love,’ she said during the talk show.
According to the I Feel Pretty star, Amy Schumer, scheduling birthdays is a must. She humorously mentioned that birthdays are never a coincidence but are always planned out. She questioned if people actually let birthdays happen spontaneously.
In her new Instagram post she raved about her new drug.
Amy Schumer shared that since she started following a schedule for birthdays, she has seen improvements in various aspects of her life. She claimed to have healthier hair, improved skin, increased energy, and even mentioned shedding some pounds as a positive outcome of this birthday scheduling routine compared to using Wegovy.
Reflecting on her experience with Wegovy, Schumer disclosed that three years ago, she tried the competitor product but struggled with side effects like vomiting. She expressed uncertainty about potential changes to the formula since then that may have made it more tolerable.
‘But anyway, I went on this Telehealth meeting with Midi Health, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself ‘cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are nurses and teachers.’
She said the virtual care clinic ‘put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was in perimenopause and my symptoms from being perimenopausal have disappeared.’
The star added with a touch of humor, ‘And, look, it’s not covered by insurance unless you have diabetes or like severe obesity, which most of the internet thinks I have.’
‘But I’m having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real with you about that.’
In conclusion, she shared, ‘Midi Health. I liked it so much and I had such a good experience [that] I invested in the company.’
Earlier this year she also revealed that similar drug Ozempic did not agree with her.
In January Amy appeared on The Howard Stern Show, where she discussed how using Ozempic negatively affected her health.
Schumer had to stop the once-weekly injection after suffering from extreme nausea and vomiting.
‘I have this gene — GDF15 — which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy,’ the mother-of-one said.
The star shares five-year-old son Gene with husband Chris Fischer.
‘So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like, bedridden.Â
‘I was vomiting and then you have no energy.
‘ But other people take it and they’re all good,’ she explained.
Although she shed 30 pounds while taking the drug, the entertainer said that it prevented her from being able to play with her son.
‘I lost 30 pounds so quick. I looked great and I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow, so what’s the point?’ she noted.
Also on Friday, Amy shared that she and her husband are selling their multi-million dollar Brooklyn home.
Sharing photos of the via Instagram, she captioned, ‘Brooklyn heights 2 parking spots. Backyard. 4 bedrooms… 1 block from Brooklyn bridge park and all the schools are so close. Will miss it so much and loved our 3 years here. Quite safe and beautiful.’
In a Stories post, she reiterated, ‘Selling our apartment after three perfect years. Brooklyn Heights heaven.’
