Chiefs parade-goer who sued over social media claims is dead: attorney

Confirmation has been given by his attorney to Fox News Digital that Denton Loudermill Jr., a man from Kansas who was wrongly accused of shooting at a rally celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl win last year, has passed away.

According to FOX 4 Kansas City, Loudermill Jr., from Olathe, was also accused of being an “illegal alien” and was discovered deceased by his family on Friday morning. Although he was briefly detained, no charges were ever brought against him in the confusion following the tragic shooting.

Following the incident, Loudermill Jr. filed lawsuits against three Republican Missouri state senators and a Tennessee congressman for sharing social media posts that incorrectly connected him to the shooting. The Associated Press indicates that these cases were ultimately dismissed, primarily due to jurisdictional issues.

His death was confirmed by attorney Arthur Benson. Another attorney, LaRonna Lassister Saunders, did not immediately get back to Fox News Digital.
