Aubrey Plaza recently shared her last Instagram post featuring her late husband, Jeff Baena, who tragically passed away at his home in Los Angeles, California. The post reflected her immense pride in him.
In her final post with Baena, shared in May 2021, the award-winning actress praised her ‘darling husband.’
‘So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that take us to Italia to cause some more trouble,’ she captioned the post.
The heartbreaking last post together featured the star couple lovingly gazing into each other’s eyes.
In the post, Aubrey included a heartwarming picture along with screenshots from a 2021 Deadline article discussing their upcoming project, the 2022 film Spin Me Round.
She expressed her enthusiasm for the film and mentioned her excitement about reuniting with the talented Alison Brie, who also contributed to the screenplay. Aubrey added, “Excited to be reunited with the amazing @alisonbrie (who also co-wrote this one!) … and so many more fun people in this. Preparati!!” in the caption of the post.
The actress’s filmmaker husband was found dead inside his West Coast home on Friday, the DailyMail previously confirmed. Baena was reportedly found by an assistant inside his LA home around 10:30am on December 3.
The family has since told Deadline that they are devastated by the news and are asking for privacy at this time.

Actress Aubrey Plaza’s filmmaker husband Jeff Baena was found dead at the age of 47 in his Los Angeles home
Baena was first reported to have been in a relationship with Plaza in 2011.
The pair would quietly marry years later, in 2020, but waited to announce their marriage to the public until May 2021.
The 47-year-old filmmaker began his career with a move to Los Angeles after graduating from New York University with a degree in film.
He worked low-level jobs for big directors, including Robert Zemeckis and David O. Russell as he found his footing in the industry. He worked as a production assistant for Zemeckis and as an assistant editor for Russell.
He is best known for directing Life After Beth – his directorial debut and one Plaza starred in – and The Little Hours.
He also co-wrote I Heart Huckabees, which was nominated for a 2004 Gotham Aware for Best Feature.
He also wrote Life After Beth, which premiered at Sundance in 2014. His film Joshy also premiered at the famous festival and was nominated for a Grand Jury Prize.
The Miami native also worked on Horse Girl and Spin Me Round – his most recent film, which also featured his wife.
Baena directed and co-wrote the 2022 dark comedy alongside Allison Brie.
The film first premeried at the South by Southwest festival in March 2022 before it was released by IFC Films in theaters and by AMC+ on video on demand in August 2022.
Spin Me Round tells the story of a woman wins an all-expenses-paid trip to a company’s gorgeous ‘institute’ outside of Florence, and also the chance to meet the restaurant chain’s wealthy and charismatic owner, according to an IMDb report.
The 2022 film boasts a star-studded cast including Brie, Debby Ryan, Zach Woods, Ego Nwodim and Ayden Mayeri.

He is survived by his wife, his mother Barbra Stern, stepfather Roger Stern, his stepmother Michele Banea, his brother Brad Banea, and his step siblings Bianca Gabay and Jed Fluxman.
