Police in Aurora, Colorado, say they have detained 14 people following an armed home invasion at a local apartment complex.
Police were alerted to a serious incident just before 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday at The Edge at Lowry Apartments on Dallas Street. The Aurora Police received reports of an armed home invasion that included a stabbing and kidnapping, as stated in a press release.
Initial findings by the authorities indicate that multiple suspects entered an apartment where two individuals were present. The suspects then forced the victims to another apartment within the complex, where they were threatened and restrained.
One of the victims, a man, sustained a stab wound but is expected to survive, police said.
The Edge at Lowry Apartments gained attention in late summer due to a viral video featuring armed members of the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang in the building’s stairwell and corridors. The Tren de Aragua (TdA) is a well-known gang from Venezuela.
As of Tuesday morning, police had not confirmed any connection between the home invasion and TdA.
