I admire Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) for making it a priority to keep the public informed about his activities in Congress. He frequently utilizes Twitter to share updates on his congressional work.
He delivered important news on DOGE cuts and President Donald Trump’s Executive Orders.Â
Burchett said he was introducing three bills to codify Executive Orders.Â

One significant action he took was to eliminate funding for NPR and PBS, a move that was also part of the DOGE cuts. Burchett emphasized that these organizations should not require public funds to operate.
Additionally, he pushed for regulatory changes to support the local production of essential medications in the United States. This initiative aimed to reduce the country’s dependence on other nations such as China for critical medicines.
“It’s crazy that we rely on other places like China,” he said. “It needs to be produced in this country. It’s a national security issue.”Â
Third was dealing with gain-of-function research, biological agents and pathogens.Â
“We gotta take control of this thing,” he asserted.
It’s important to codify them so they can’t be overturned after Trump leaves office. He had previously promised he would do it and was delivering on that promise.Â
All that guy is doing is showing how quick and funny Burchett is, so I don’t think he’s achieving what he wants if the point is to put Burchett on the spot or make him look silly.Â
