Celebrities’ Fashion Faux Pas at Super Bowl 2025: Travis Kelce’s Eccentric Retro Suit and Ice Spice’s Quirky Y2K Outfit

Yet another Super Bowl has passed – as the Philadelphia Eagles reign victorious over the Kansas City Chiefs, with a score 40-22 on Sunday night.

And there winners and losers off the court too – when it came to the fashion department of the flurry of A-listers in attendance.

Despite having access to some of the most exclusive stylists money can buy, many of the looks at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans this year appeared to fall flat with clunky ensembles and uninspired designs.

While known for his incredible athletic prowess – and dating music royalty Taylor Swift – Travis Kelce seemed to stray too far into the seventies with his bedazzled retro suit.

He completed the baggy look with some black and white loafers, big shades, and an enormous gold rose pin. 

Elsewhere, hip hop sensation Ice Spice, typically known for her fun Y2K outfits, didn’t quite land her top-to-bottom white outfit, accented with a red bra.

A slew of other stars were spotted at the stadium – including Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes, who totally disappointed with her ensemble.

While many expected something dazzling from the Chiefs’ quarterback’s wife, she instead decided to go with an extremely simple look.

And the President’s daughter Ivanka too struck a fashion faux-paus when she chose to accessorize her ivory waistcoat with a clunky, brown leather belt.

However, his football capabilities don’t appear to translate into his fashion competencies, as he sported a bafflingly bedazzled look on arrival yesterday.

The tight end went for a joltingly bright orange suit, which appears to be a few sizes too big on him.

While the retro ensemble might have had a place in a more fitting occasion, in this instance it simply felt odd.

As well as being awkwardly put together, the monochrome look didn’t have a fun enough pop of color to make a strong statement. 

The underwhelming outfit took away from some very impressive bling, as Brittany donned a $73,000 necklace.

The 29-year-old wore a lavish double-strand necklace from Vrai, a New York designer.

She has loyally supported Patrick all season, even making it to a Chiefs playoff game just six days after giving birth to their third child last month.

Brittany landed in Louisiana on Friday to support Patrick for the big game.

Ice Spice, 25, didn’t bring enough of a kitsch flair to make her all-white ensemble work this weekend

She’s known for her fun fashion style that corresponds to the Y2K vibe of her music.

But Ice Spice, 25, didn’t bring enough of a kitsch flair to make her all-white ensemble work this weekend.

She teamed a short-sleeve button up with matching white shorts and clunky black combat boots. 

However, her overly simplistic outfit felt to be in stark contrast with more glamorous ensembles and the flash of a red bra was too little of a splash of color to make a real style statement.

As the Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles, Ice Spice watched on from her friend Taylor’s private box with a host of other celebrities.

Last year, the celebrity duo also attended the game together, and matched while wearing all-black ensembles.

Throughout the game, Taylor and Ice Spice could be seen standing alongside celebrity pals Este Haim, MGK and from the singer’s VIP suite.

But unfortunately, this didn’t come through as through the Super Bowl weekend Karrueche Tran donned a rather simple denim jumpsuit.

At Michael Rubin’s 2025 Fanatics Super Bowl Party on Saturday, she wore a denim jumpsuit with a zip, accessorized with hoop earrings and bangles. 

While the outfit was far from offensive, it was not the best fashion sense expected from the star.

Karrueche also wore her raven tresses down in sleek and glossy loose waves.

She kept her make-up simple with dewy skin and a dusky lipstick. 

Adding a pop of color, the actress sported bright red nailpolish.
