Jenna Bush Hager reintroduced one of the most amusing segments of Today when Taraji P. Henson appeared alongside her on Today With Jenna & Friends, resulting in an entertaining and comical interaction.
After enjoying a few margaritas together, the hosts engaged in a game called “Tool Time,” in which they experimented with various unfamiliar tools and attempted to guess their intended purposes. The segment commenced with a suction device designed for facial cupping massages, which raised some eyebrows due to its peculiar appearance. Henson’s reaction to the tool shown by Bush Hager was priceless.
“It’s too early in the morning for these thoughts I’m having,” she said with a laugh. “It’s too early in the morning!”
“Everything looks dirty if you let it,” Bush Hager commented as she tried to figure out what the tool was meant for.
Henson continued, “My brain is too dark.”
Bush Hager agreed. “Is it the margarita or what, because my brain is there too,” she admitted.
Henson later admitted that she is certainly one to fall for social media ads for strange tools like the one on today’s show.
“Oh yeah, they catch me all the time. And then I get it and it doesn’t work like it’s supposed to,” she told Bush Hager.
The star of Fight Night made history as the inaugural celebrity guest host to accompany Bush Hager on the latest version of the fourth hour of Today, titled Today With Jenna & Friends. Henson delivered a heartfelt tribute at the beginning of the episode to commemorate Bush Hager’s initial week on her fresh show.
Bush Hager’s host of five years, NBC icon Hoda Kotb, retired from the show just last week. While Craig Melvin replaced Kotb on the earlier hours of Today, Bush Hager is still looking for a permanent guest host to fill Kotb’s spot in the fourth hour.
As she explained it to Henson earlier this week, “I was a child bride. I got married at 26 years old. Not too [young], but childish.”
“So, I haven’t really dated,” she said. “This is kind of my dating era and you’re my first date. I’m blushing.”
