Caine had been an F-16 fighter pilot. Among the things he did was protect D.C. on Sept. 11, 2001, after the attacks.
Trump emphasized that aside from an impressive background, he chose Caine due to his effective contribution to dismantling the ISIS caliphate. The decision was based on Caine’s demonstrated success in achieving tangible outcomes.
