Although it is a contentious issue, it is never justified to brutally murder a husband and father, especially someone like Mangione who had no direct connection to the victim.
He shot him in the back. Do you need to know anything else?
Now CNN’s Kaitlan Collins has apparently gotten into the mix, according to reports:
CNN’s top White House correspondent, Kaitlan Collins, recently removed a social media post following criticism for seemingly endorsing a fundraiser for Luigi Mangione, the accused perpetrator of the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s murder.
Collins shared a link on X to a newly created website by Mangione’s defense team, as he faces severe charges including first-degree murder, terrorism-related offenses, stalking, and other criminal charges in both New York and Pennsylvania. Mangione is accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan on December 4, 2024. Thompson was a married father of two.
Mangione, 26, who was born into a wealthy Maryland family, was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pa., on Dec. 9 after a multi-state manhunt. Following his arrest, followers donated over $300,000 for his legal defense.
