Adam Schiff, in the past, continuously claimed to possess proof linking Donald Trump to Russian collusion, but he never actually presented any evidence to support his claims. On the other hand, Chuck Schumer openly made threats of violence towards Supreme Court Justices due to disagreements with their decisions.
But now the oh-so-saintly (terribly named) Whitehouse is embroiled in an ethics scandal of his own:
There is criticism from legal experts who believe there is a double standard being applied, especially with Senator Sheldon Whitehouse from Rhode Island. He is currently facing an ethics complaint for a potential conflict of interest leading to millions of dollars in federal funding for a nonprofit organization connected to his wife.
Mike Davis, who previously served as the chief counsel for nominations to Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley, has called out Senator Sheldon Whitehouse for his apparent hypocrisy. Despite building his political career on accusing others of corruption involving undisclosed funds, Whitehouse seems to be engaging in similar behavior himself.
“This is the height of hypocrisy,” Brett Tolman, former U.S. attorney and executive director of Right On Crime, told Fox News Digital. “Sen Whitehouse is a former US attorney and the self-proclaimed watchdog of dark money.”
Oops. Might be time to climb off your high horse, Sheldon.
BOMBSHELL: Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) backed legislation that funneled millions to his wife’s environmental nonprofit, Ocean Conservancy.
She’s been paid nearly $2.7M while the group raked in $14.2M+ in federal grants—funded by bills Whitehouse voted for!
