Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has revealed his intentions to seek re-election once his term expires in 2027, despite the current corruption issues affecting his Socialist party.
“I am determined to run in the next general election in 2027,” Sanchez told reporters on Wednesday.

On June 12, the Spanish prime minister said he would not call new elections before the end of his current term.
Cerdan, who is slated to appear before the Supreme Court on June 25, says he has never committed a crime or been implicit in one, Reuters reported.
Being among the longest-serving socialist leaders in Europe, Sanchez faces challenges as his wife, Begona Gomez, is being investigated for potential business misconduct, while his brother, David Sanchez, is set to stand trial for suspected involvement in influence peddling, as reported by BBC News.
