Approaching the three-month mark since the formation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the assaults on Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and vehicle owners are alarmingly on the rise. President Donald Trump, along with the FBI and the DOJ, have all labeled these attacks as acts of domestic terrorism.
The situation has escalated to the extent that last week, FBI Director Kash Patel acknowledged the formation of an FBI task force dedicated to addressing the issue. He stated on Twitter that they are taking extra measures to combat and organize their response to what they consider domestic terrorism. Those found responsible will face consequences and be brought to justice.
The Trump administration’s serious approach to these attacks has sparked criticism from Congressional Democrats, such as Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY). In response to the news about the task force, Goldman oddly suggested that the administration’s actions were politicizing the DOJ and engaging in what he called “lawfare.”
