'Shady Dem Lawyer' Is Very Upset by This Trump Nomination and for Good Cause

On Monday, President-elect Donald Trump declared his choice of Harmeet K. Dhillon for the role of Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the Department of Justice in the U.S., unequivocally stating an end to the Biden administration’s methods. A prominent figure in the realm of civil liberties, Dhillon has made her mark by taking on big tech over issues of free speech, defending Christians amid COVID-19 impositions, and contesting corporate adherence to “woke” ideologies. Trump hailed Dhillon as “one of the top election lawyers in the Country,” highlighting her dedication to fair electoral practices and her adherence to constitutional principles. Central to the GOP’s election integrity efforts, Dhillon played a pivotal role in contesting typical Democratic tactics across several states in the 2024 elections.

After Kristen Clarke’s maladministration, this nomination heralds Trump’s intent to tackle civil rights issues based on the philosophy of equality under the law. Something that should go without saying.

Oh, and remember that pesky campaign issue Kamala Harris had regarding taxpayer-funded ‘gender-affirming care’ for prisoners? Clarke supported it as well and even issued an official DOJ statement to that effect.

You can’t please everyone. Democrat election lawyer Marc Elias, in particular, suffered from a bad case of grit in the undies.

Elias, dubbed a “shady Dem lawyer” by the New York Post, has been at ground zero of virtually every attempt to destroy election integrity in this country.

If you want to prevent voter ID, keep states from cleaning fake voters from their poll books, extend voting times arbitrarily to favor your candidate, create racially balkanized voting districts, or “find” uncounted ballots in a close race, Elias is your man.

With Merrick Garland’s cretinous crew in the Department of Justice, business was good. He could reliably count on whatever pro-Democrat scheme he came up with to have the support of the federal government. In fact, Elias was gearing up for an off-season legal campaign to shape the electoral battlefield for 2026 and 2028 while no one was watching.

That strategy will be much tougher with Dhillon as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.
