The Archdiocese of Chicago hosted a celebration at Rate Field on Saturday, June 14, honoring Chicago-born Pope Leo XIV.

Part 3

The event featured testimonials, musical acts, a Catholic Mass led by Cardinal Blase Cupich, and a special video message from the pope.

More than 30,000 people gathered at Rate Field for the celebration, which highlighted testimonials, musical performances, a Catholic Mass overseen by Cardinal Blase Cupich, and a unique video message from the pope, marking his inaugural public communication to the American audience.

Pope Leo XIV’s special video message during the celebration was his first public address to the American audience.
