Murder and mayhem take center stage this week on streaming platforms. Some of the murders are real, such as those detailed in the new Errol Morris documentary Chaos: The Manson Murders on Netflix. Meanwhile, the fictitious murders on The Traitors wrap up season three on Peacock. In terms of mayhem, viewers can indulge in the new Hulu series Deli Boys, which premiered on Thursday, or tune in to the latest season of Max’s The Righteous Gemstones, set to premiere on Sunday.

For enthusiasts of conspiracy theories, CHAOS: The Manson Murders is a must-watch. This new Netflix documentary from revered documentarian Errol Morris offers a fresh perspective on Charles Manson and his story. On Peacock, viewers can catch the season finale and reunion episode of The Traitors to discover if the Faithfuls successfully identified all the Traitors in Alan Cumming’s castle. Additionally, on Hulu, don’t miss Deli Boys, the latest series from High Maintenance writer Abdullah Saeed.
As a former high school student fascinated by the 1960s and ’70s, Vincent Bugliosi’s book Helter Skelter, which delves into his prosecution of the Tate-LaBianca murders by Charles Manson’s followers, captivated me. Years later, I delved into CHAOS: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O’Neill with Dan Piepenbring. This book revealed the extent to which Bugliosi’s narrative was manipulated and distorted to fit a particular agenda. Now, Errol Morris brings O’Neill’s book to life in a new Netflix documentary, shedding light on Manson and his potential ties to the CIA and mind control experiments, a thought-provoking watch that may even prompt the most skeptical viewer to question everything.
Deli Boys is a new comedy on Hulu starring Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh as two Pakistani-American brothers who, upon their father’s death, learn that he was a criminal. In addition to reckoning with this new information, they’re also forced to take over for their father and turn to crime themselves, something they’re clearly not cut out for.
This week marks the season three finale and reunion episodes of the U.S. version of The Traitors, and if you haven’t caught last night’s episodes, what are you waiting for? While the season has been uneven and full of Traitors ratting each other out, it has led up to a thrilling conclusion that should not be missed.
