The Waning President: Biden Touts His Gun Control Record on the Sandy Hook Shooting Anniversary

Not to be harsh right off the bat, but soon-to-be former President Joe Biden entered office in 2020 as a serial liar and he will leave office next Monday as a serial liar. Toss in the 82-year-old’s marked cognitive decline over the last four years, and you never know what’s going to come out of his mumbling mouth.

Or in this case, his final letter to the American people.

In the letter, released by the White House on Wednesday, the delusional president (actually, his handlers, no doubt) made ridiculous, laugh-out-loud claims that would make even Pinocchio look like a piker.

Replete with hyperbolic nonsense, the letter began:

Four years ago, we stood in a winter of peril and a winter of possibilities. We were in the grip of the worst pandemic in a century, the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, and the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War. But we came together as Americans, and we braved through it. We emerged stronger, more prosperous, and more secure.

And of course, “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War” reference was in reality the January 6, 2020, Capitol protest by Trump supporters that got out of hand, regardless of who or what was to blame.

“But we came together as Americans, and we braved through it,” Biden said, adding: “We emerged stronger, more prosperous, and more secure.” Beyond delusional.

Biden’s letter included a long list of accomplishments, none of which were accurate:

Today, we have the strongest economy in the world and have created a record 16.6 million new jobs. Wages are up. Inflation continues to come down. The racial wealth gap is the lowest it’s been in 20 years. We’re rebuilding our entire nation—urban, suburban, rural, and Tribal communities.

Manufacturing is coming back to America. We’re leading the world again in science and innovation, including the semiconductor industry. And we finally beat Big Pharma to lower the cost of prescription drugs for seniors. More people have health insurance today in America than ever before.

I signed one of the most significant laws helping millions of veterans who were exposed to toxic materials and their families, as well as the most significant climate law ever and the first major gun safety law in nearly 30 years. Today, the violent crime rate is at a 50-year low.

If you’re thinking Biden must live on another planet, you’re not alone.

COVID “vaccines” and lockdowns, the disaster of Bidenomics, and the continuing illegal alien invasion and crime it brought with it, just to name the biggies, led to soon-to-be-President Donald Trump’s election beatdown of Vice President Kamala Harris. along with the GOP retaining the House and recapturing the Senate. If Biden’s miserable presidency were anywhere near as successful as he laughably claims, why did November 5 turn out the way it did? Rhetorical question.
