The FBI is launching a new probe into the discovery of cocaine at Joe Biden’s White House in 2023, according to FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino.Â
Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino disclosed information about the FBI’s decision to re-open or allocate more resources to certain cases, including the cocaine investigation.
Two years ago, near the West Wing entrance, a small bag of cocaine was found, sparking various speculations about its owner.
The incident involving the discovery of cocaine at the White House occurred shortly after Hunter Biden, a recovering drug addict, departed with his family members for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
A Secret Service investigation into the drugs was closed in less than two weeks due to a ‘lack of evidence’ as security footage was not able to determine the owner.
‘Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who passed through the vestibule where the cocaine was discovered,’ it said in a statement.
The Biden family was away from Washington at the time of the discovery of the cocaine took place.Â
The White House repeatedly condemned accusations suggesting that the cocaine belonged to a Biden family member.Â

‘To ask that question is actually incredibly irresponsible,’ White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on July 7th without denying the allegations.Â
Trump repeatedly raised questions about the case, vowing new attention to the investigation.
‘Well, either Joe or Hunter. Could be Joe, too,’ he said when asked in February who he thought left cocaine in the locker.
It’s unclear what additional details a renewed investigation could reveal, as Trump previously revealed that evidence surrounding the incident had been removed. Â
Trump speculated that the lockers had ‘hundreds and even thousands’ of fingerprints but that it had been wiped clean with ‘the strongest form of alcohol.’
‘When they went to look at it, it was absolutely stone cold, wiped dry,’ he said. ‘You know that, right?’
‘I think I’m going to look into that because it was… bad stuff happened there,’ he said.

Bongino has previously indicated that he was in touch with whistleblowers who told him they were ‘suspicious’ that evidence from the White House cocaine bag ‘could match a member of the inner Biden circle.’
‘A whistleblower just blew the lid off the cocaine gate scandal,’ Bongino said in a video in August 2024. ‘I’m ready to expose what I know and it’s explosive.’
Bongino also listed the investigation of an individual placing pipe bombs near the RNC and DNC headquarters as deserving additional scrutiny and the leak of the Supreme Court Dobbs case to Politico prior to the court overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022.
‘I receive requested briefings on these cases weekly and we are making progress. If you have any investigative tips on these matters that may assist us then please contact the FBI,’ he wrote.Â
The publication of the Supreme Court’s opinion ending the constitutional right to abortion in Politico on May 2, 2022, provoked condemnation from Trump.
He called the source of the leak ‘slime’ and demanded that the journalists involved be imprisoned until they revealed who it was.
Previous investigations into both cases, by the Secret Service and the Supreme Court, respectively, ended without identifying who was responsible for the cocaine or the leak, or the pipe bombs.Â
