Prime Video is becoming a destination for popular YA content.
The platform not only has three films in the My Fault franchise (Culpa Mia, Culpa Tuya, and My Fault: London), but Amazon is also the streaming home of The Summer I Turned Pretty, Cruel Intentions, and, of course, Maxton Hall: The World Between Us.
Debuting in May 2024, the German-language teen romance series centers on the relationship between Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten), a sophisticated scholarship student, and James (Damian Hardung), an arrogant millionaire heir. To call Maxton Hall a hit would be a vast understatement. The debut offering broke Prime Video streaming records, becoming Amazon’s most-watched international show of all time. If you want a sultry recap of Ruby and James’ relationship, Amazon recently uploaded a helpful 13-minute video.
Fans of the first season are clamoring for more. When exactly can we expect Maxton Hall Season 2 to drop on Prime Video? Here’s everything you need to know.
All six Season 1 episodes of Maxton Hall are currently streaming on Prime Video.
You bet! The popular series earned a second season renewal in May 2024. What exactly can fans expect when the show returns? Minor spoilers ahead!
Per Amazon, “After their passionate night together in Oxford and her greatest life goal within reach, everything seems to be going perfectly for Ruby. But a stroke of fate in James’ family changes everything and James himself, of all people, brings her back from cloud nine to a harsh reality.”
No specific release date has been announced, but Deadline reports that the second season is “penciled in” to debut at the end of 2025. Filming on Season 2 wrapped in September 2024, and there are rumors that the show could be renewed for a third and likely final season.
“We want to offer fans around the globe the best Maxton Hall experience,” an Amazon spokesperson told Deadline. “As such, we’re intensely working on a first class production and music composition for the series, including comprehensive language versions. We promise the wait will be worth it.”
