The former “super mayor” of a Chicago suburb is making headlines once again as she dives into a new business venture amidst ongoing legal troubles that have followed her turbulent time in office.
Tiffany Henyard, the former Democratic mayor of Dolton, has announced she is peddling a “tell-all” autobiography, titled “Standing on Business.”Â
In a recent Facebook post, the controversial politician teased “the real story is coming” and provided a link for interested readers to pre-order her upcoming book. Priced at $99, this book is said to be the first installment in a three-part series and is available for purchase on a self-publishing website.
The financial probe reportedly revealed the village’s bank account fell from its initial $5.6 million balance to a $3.6 million deficit.
Earlier this year, Henyard subsequently lost the city’s mayoral primary to Jason House, who was sworn into office in May.Â
Adding to her already tumultuous situation, on the same day she faced defeat in the election, federal authorities issued a subpoena to the Village of Dolton requesting records related to a land development project that allegedly involves her boyfriend.
