Gabby Windey isn’t exactly a fan of Michael Bublé… and it’s not because of his music.
The winner of “The Traitors” shared a not-so-nice experience she had with a singer while on the show “Dancing with the Stars” in 2022. She described the incident during an episode of the podcast “Las Culturistas” hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers on April 3.
The winner mentioned that Michael Bublé is no longer someone she respects, emphasizing that she has publicly criticized him multiple times before. She expressed her strong emotions by saying, “I will also scream it” regarding her feelings towards him.
She went on to explain what occurred between her and Bublé, stating that he made her uncomfortable by visually inspecting her as she walked to her trailer. She had high hopes of receiving a good score from him, but the encounter left her feeling uneasy and disrespected.
When Rogers suggested that perhaps Bublé was “trying to flirt” with her by giving her a 9 instead of a 10, Windey responded, “I don’t know. That is not the way to flirt with me. I don’t do that.” She went on to admit, “I like the love bomb.”
Windey isn’t the first DWTS contestant to feel uneasy about a guest judge. During the most recent season, which aired through November and saw Bachelor alum Joey Graziadei win the mirror ball trophy, KISS bassist Gene Simmons joined as a guest judge and faced heavy criticism for his remarks about the contestantsâ physical appearances.
“This is a brand new experience for me and it’s difficult to look at you and to figure out which one is more hot, hot, hot,” Simmons told Danny Amendola and his partner Witney Carson after their performance.
“Danny, I’m telling you, you’re right next to somebody, one of the more beautiful women on the planet,” he added, leaving Carson with a puzzled expression.
Simmons made another controversial comment later in the episode when speaking about Chandler Kinney. He said the actress “fogged up” his glasses, then added, “You move me, not just with your gyrations and so on, but your beautiful face and how you were into the emotion of it.”
Despite her uncomfortable experience with Bublé, Windey told People in September that Dancing with the Stars was “such an amazing experience.”
“Anybody who gets the opportunity, I’m like, âDo Dancing with the Stars. Itâs the best thing you can do ever.â”
