She said it was a pleasure to play such a conniving, wicked character.
Gal Gadot expressed her excitement about playing the role of the villain for the first time as she found the Evil Queen character to be intriguingly unhinged and kooky. She aimed to bring a unique twist to the character by infusing her portrayal with bubbly and electric energy, steering away from the traditional depiction of a mean stepmother.
Gadot commented on how “Snow White” is the first full-length animated movie Disney released in 1937.
Emphasizing the significance of portraying such an iconic Disney character, Gadot mentioned the pressure of ensuring she did justice to the role. Feeling a mix of nerves and thrill on the first day of filming, she embraced the opportunity to embody the Evil Queen and deliver the memorable lines associated with the character.
Gadot also reminisced on “Wonder Woman.”
Gadot reflected on the joy of venturing into new territories as an actor and tapping into different emotions and energies while portraying such a significant and larger-than-life character. Despite the challenges, she found the experience of playing the Evil Queen to be immensely gratifying and a departure from her previous roles.
Gadot said her daughters have seen “Snow White.”
“They were so happy and proud, and they were watching the film like this, and my 3-year-old stayed through the entire film. She never watched a full-length film. It was really great,” she said.
