Despite not being part of ABC’s fall schedule for 2025, The Rookie is set to return. Similar to the previous season, both The Rookie and Will Trent are being saved for midseason. While there’s no official premiere date yet confirmed, production for Season 8 of The Rookie has already commenced, with a projected return in January 2026.
Per Screen Rant, the cast is currently filming in Prague, which reminds me of this classic scene from Kicking and Screaming.
