An insider has revealed how Meghan Markle repaid the crew of her Netflix show once it wrapped the first season – and it involved custom gifts.Â
Last week, Markle’s cooking and home entertainment show, With Love, Meghan, launched eight episodes on the streaming platform, with appearances by her celebrity friends such as Mindy Kaling and Abigail Spencer in her home.
On the show, she shows the audience how to make their own treats at home, like beeswax candles and rainbow fruit plates.
In some episodes, you can even see her film crew get involved, like during the fifth episode, where she makes a breakfast sandwich for the cameraman.
And, according to those involved in filming, Markle took care of the crew by providing them with an array of beverages and snacks on set.
‘Whether it was a coffee cart in the morning or there was one day where the forecast called for it to be particularly hot, and she had a shaved ice truck for us at lunch,’ shared a crew member with People magazine.
‘One day, she had a bespoke ice cream cart with local homemade ice cream. She had an acai truck for us, too. Every week, she did something like that for us. It was really lovely,’ the crew member continued.

The Duchess even gave them all presents when they wrapped. Â
Markle bought each crew member a pan from the brand Our Place, which retail for over $100, as well as a monogrammed spoon that read, ‘Thank you, crew.’
The anonymous crew member who spoke to the outlet described Markle as ‘warm’ and ‘approachable,’ even asking about their personal lives and tastes in things like cocktails.
‘She was a great hostess,’ the crew member said.
‘Between takes, if something was ready to eat, she’d cut it into bite-sized pieces and serve it to us.’
The crew member also added that those working on the show all felt ‘included’ by the Netflix star, and that overall, it was a ‘unique and refreshing experience.’Â
The show, which has received a fair amount of scrutiny so far from both viewers and critics alike, has already been renewed for a second season at Netflix.
Markle made the announcement via Instagram just a few days after the show premiered, as she shared a video of some different snippets from various episodes.

‘If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2!’ the mom-of-two wrote in the caption.Â
‘Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!’ her message continued, as she tagged the Netflix Instagram account.
At the same time as her Netflix premiere, Markle also revealed some of the products that she will be selling in conjunction wit her new lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Not only does it include pancake mix, but also raspberry spread in ‘keepsake packaging’ and a limited-edition wildflower honey.
