A tsunami? Sure, why not! How else could we end the first (and possibly only) season of ABC’s best unserious dramedy, Doctor Odyssey?
The Odyssey is embarking on the first part of its two-part final journey of Season 1 after a rollercoaster ride of 16 episodes filled with shark attacks, threesomes, pregnancy scares, and real pregnancies. It’s gearing up to be quite the spectacle.
In the previous episode titled “Double-Booked,” Dr. Max laid bare his feelings for Avery just as she is about to start medical school, leaving viewers anticipating the fallout of this revelation. Will Avery reciprocate his feelings or will she distance herself from his unexpected confession? The upcoming Episode 17, ominously titled “The Wave,” hints at some rocky waters ahead, teasing a potentially turbulent turn of events. Viewers will have to tune in to find out.
For those eager to catch Episode 17 of Doctor Odyssey, here’s a rundown of everything you need to be in the loop, from the airing schedule to how to watch it, along with details of the guest stars gracing the screen in this highly anticipated season finale.
Yes, there is a brand new episode of Doctor Odyssey on tonight. The new episode airs on ABC at 9 p.m. local and drops on Hulu the next day.
If you have cable or a live TV subscription, you can always turn on your TV just before 9 p.m. and tune into ABC for the new episode.
No cable? No time to watch live? No sweat! New episodes of Doctor Odyssey, including “The Wave,” upload to Hulu the next morning at 3:01 a.m. or 5:00 a.m. You will need to have a Hulu subscription, which can be purchased for as low as $9.99 a month (or $99.99 per year) for an ad-supported option. Plans on the higher end go all the way up to $95.99 per month for the Hulu + Live TV with Disney+ and ESPN+ bundle.
A tsunami is coming. Expect the unexpected in part one of the dramatic two-part finale. “After Max’s declaration fractures his relationship with Avery, he leaves the ship and finds himself caught in an earthquake, which triggers a tsunami warning. With The Odyssey forced to leave port, Max races to return before it’s too late,” a description reads.
Thanks to promotional photos, we know that Parks and Recreation alum Jim O’Heir is among a trio of actors boarding The Odyssey for the beginning of the end. No word yet on who he is playing but it looks like as though he may be a guest on the ship who goes sightseeing with other passengers. Excited to see Gary Jerry Larry Terry Gergich back on our screens!
