During a House Oversight Committee hearing focused on securing cuts to the Department of Energy (DOE) budget, Rep. Crockett, known for her recent criticism of Trump, raised concerns about the lack of oversight regarding DOGE. She also mentioned the committee’s failure to call on former DOGE head Elon Musk to discuss the budget cuts.
Unexpectedly, Crockett diverged from the topic and began discussing US actions against Iran’s nuclear program. She reiterated a claim that President Trump could not take action without Congressional approval, a claim that has been proven false (1:22:31 minute mark).

“[Congressional Republicans] They’ve allowed this administration to launch the country into a war without congressional approval,” Crockett said. “And while we’re talking about saving money.”
“Let me tell you, just dropping those few bombs in one day, that was the beginning of what is going to be a very long bill for us as they talk about being efficient,” she added. “There was nothing efficient about doing it.”
“Maybe we need to start leading with the people in the middle of what it is that is guiding us instead of following one person,” Crockett continued while not explaining what the heck she was trying to say.

Earlier in the day, the Texas Lawmaker embarrassed herself again, this time claiming it is up to her and not Trump whether we bomb Iran. Warning: The video contains expletives.

Crockett hasn’t been the only Democrat to accuse the president of lacking the authority to authorize the attacks. Favorite leftist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took things even further and said it was “absolutely grounds for impeachment.”
If it’s a day that ends in Y, it seems we are reporting on the latest crazy comment by Crockett. Last week, it was her disastrous interview with Katie Couric when she tried to claim that she never saw anything that would make her “wonder” about former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, RedState reported.
Rusty Weiss wrote:
“Not a single one,” she replied. “I still stand by the decision to stand with President Joe Biden and then ultimately standing with Vice President Kamala Harris.”
Crockett claims she couldn’t identify mental decline because she didn’t have close access to Biden. Of course, if you had even ancillary access to a television set or social media, it was pretty easy to spot. She’s just willfully ignorant.
“I never saw anything in Joe Biden that made me wonder whatsoever,” she insisted.
The congresswoman also insisted Biden’s “mental acuity” was “supreme” to that of President Trump’s before she claimed that Harris was “light years ahead of Donald Trump as it relates to qualifications, as it relates to her overall resume.”
Crockett also attacked supporters of President Trump as “mentally ill,” suggesting that if you support the president, you have mental issues. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt later destroyed the congresswoman for the derogatory comments.
