Jeremy Strong made quite the fashion statement at the 2025 Golden Globes, sporting a teal, velvet bucket hat and matching jacket and glasses. The internet went wild over his bold ensemble, and it’s easy to see why – it was certainly a memorable look!
The talented actor is up for a Golden Globe in the Best Supporting Actor category for his portrayal of real-life lawyer Roy Cohn in the 2024 biopic, The Apprentice, alongside Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump. Strong’s quirky hat choice may just be the perfect diversion tactic to steer clear of any political discussions related to the film.
Strong paired this velvet-bucket-hat-and-jacket look with a cozy, white turtleneck sweater and tinted glasses. And honestly? He low-key slayed.
Globe viewers on social media certainly thought so.
“the velvet bucket hat goes insanely hard jeremy strong they could never call you boring,” wrote one X (formerly known as Twitter) user.
“OBSESSED WITH JEREMY STRONG’S FIT,” exclaimed another.
On BlueSky, the sentiment was similar. “I love it. He looks like an evil birdwatcher,” wrote writer Kashana Cauley on BlueSky.
Strong’s date for the night was his wife of nine years, Emma Wall, who opted for a more subdued look in an elegant white dress.
With a previous Golden Globe win for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama for his role in HBO’s Succession, Jeremy Strong is no stranger to accolades. His co-star Sebastian Stan is also in the running for a Golden Globe in the Best Actor for Best Performance in a Motion Picture – Drama category for his role in The Apprentice. It’s shaping up to be an exciting night for both talented actors at the prestigious awards show.
