Jimmy Kimmel Tells Trump To “Quit” After POTUS Complained He’s “Never Good Enough” For Dems During His Speech

Jimmy Kimmel joked about President Trump’s recent address to Congress on his show Live, referring to it as “the special episode of ‘The White POTUS’” and a night full of pomp and circumstance.

Kimmel bluntly pointed out Trump’s key talking points during the speech, mentioning the controversial tariffs and the idea of transforming Gaza into Atlantic City.

But Kimmel later noted the president eventually tried to connect to Democrats in Congress in his own way.

“Trump did reach across the aisle to whine that no matter how much good he does for Democrats, it’s never good enough,” Kimmel said.

In a segment from the speech, Trump directly addressed the Democrats, expressing his frustration by stating, “And once again, I look at the Democrats in front of me and I realize there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy or to make them stand, or smile, or applaud.”

Kimmel made it very clear how President Trump could appeal to Democrats: “You can quit.”

The joke was met with raucous cheers from the Live audience as he continued, “You can go back to Mar-A-Lago and shove your head down that gold toilet for a few months. We’d like that. Maybe you’ll find those secret documents you flushed.”

A number of Democrats wore pink to the address in protest of Trump’s administration while others wore T-shirts bearing the word, “RESIST.” Rep. Al Green from Texas was also removed from the House chamber after yelling at Trump during his speech.

Kimmel also appeared surprised to see First Lady Melania Trump in attendance with Trump’s family as he joked, “So the Democrats weren’t the only people who hated him there.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
