During the ongoing trial concerning Sean “Diddy” Combs’ involvement in sex trafficking and racketeering, Jimmy Kimmel provided a brief update on the latest court developments on a recent episode of Live.
With his trademark humor, the late-night host didn’t shy away from teasing the former rapper and music magnate. Kimmel highlighted that Diddy’s mother and sons were present at the trial, where they heard shocking details from his ex-girlfriend about engaging in threesomes with Diddy and male sex workers, among other revelations.
“To add to the drama, Diddy’s mother was in attendance,” Kimmel quipped. “It’s reported that upon her arrival in the courtroom, Diddy whispered to her, inquiring if she had eaten. She confirmed she had, to which he jokingly responded, ‘Brace yourself for what’s coming.'”
He continued, “His mother, his sister, and his three sons were in the court room listening to his ex talk about these orgies. Not the ideal take your family to work day.”
Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. His ex-girlfriend, who testified this week under the pseudonym Jane, told the jury that she “was going along with something I really didn’t feel I could say no to,” per USA Today.
Kimmel did not stop there. He even cracked some jokes that seemed to cross the line for the Live audience, who were left groaning when he cracked yet another baby oil joke.
“People have been lining up around the block to get into this court room,” he said. “They had to lube everybody up with baby oil just to squeeze them all in.”
Kimmel also poked fun at the Diddy’s ex-girlfriend revealing that Dateline is the rapper’s favorite show.
“She said she would feed him and then watch it with him until he fell asleep which is interesting because Dateline had a full 60-minute episode about Diddy. In other words, he made it. Congratulations, it’s fun to be on your favorite show,” he said.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
