Christina Haack and her estranged husband Josh Hall’s martial woes hit a breaking point while filming their new HGTV competition series, The Flip Off.
In a clip from the series, which follows the former couple as they face off against Haack’s ex Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae in a real estate flipping contest, the mother-of-two, 41, and Hall, 43, endured a tense car ride together ahead of their July 2024 split.
‘This is a competition. We gotta pull out all stops. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it. Halls rule!’ he tells her as she sits stiffly by his side in the passenger seat.
In response to her silence, Hall began to berate Haack as he accused her of being ‘rude.’
‘Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is,’ he continued.
Haack, then, explained, she doesn’t ‘over talk.’

Hall proceeds to lose his temper, before snapping: ‘Yeah, the s**t you say and I’m just like, “I wish you’d shut up already.”‘
This causes Haack to sigh and remain quiet, until Hall tells the cameras that his ‘wife’s pissing’ him ‘off.’
‘Are we there yet?’ Haack asks as she makes it clear that she can’t wait to get away from her then-husband.
Heather Rae El Moussa, who is the wife of Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, reacted to the explosive clip via Instagram.
In a clear show of support for Christina, Heather commented: ‘Not everyone makes the cut—and that’s the real reality [shrugging woman emoji]’
The comment earned nearly 700 likes, with fans praising Heather for being a ‘girls girl.’
Later, the preview for the two-hour series premiere, which comes out on January 29, shows Haack breaking down in tears as she told El Moussa that she and Hall ‘officially split up.’
‘We had a blow up… middle fingers in my face,’ she told her ex, before adding that things with Josh had been ‘bad for a long time.’
Josh filed for divorce in July 2024 after nearly three years of marriage, and was slated to co-star alongside Christina and Tarek in The Flip Off, but following their breakup, Christina resumed filming without him.

But the most heart-wrenching moment comes when Christina reveals the impact on her and Tarek’s children, Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9.

‘The kids literally asked me to leave,” she says, breaking down. ‘They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?’
Christina explains that she feels as though she’s constantly caught in a tornado, unable to escape, before breaking down in tears.
She goes on to say that everything since 2016 has been incredibly difficult and painful, taking a severe toll on her emotionally.
Christina and Tarek’s marriage ended in 2016 after a tense incident involving Tarek fleeing with a gun and entering rehab.
Despite a bumpy co-parenting journey, they’ve mostly maintained a positive relationship in recent years.
In the sneak peak of The Flip Off, Christina apologizes to Tarek, saying, ‘I’m really sorry for s— too. I really am. I just want you to know.’
Tarek, becoming a bit emotional himself, responds, ‘I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost. And I acknowledge that I’m a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this.’
Last month, Haack said Hall’s exit from The Flip Off made production much easier.

She told Entertainment Tonight it was difficult filming the show due to her estranged husband’s insecurity.
‘When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,’ the reality star explained.
Haack, who changed her name to Hall when the couple married in April 2022, has gone back to using her maiden name.
‘I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?’ she asked.
‘It was not fun, to be honest,’ she explained. ‘I did not enjoy filming with him, so having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier and so much better in every way.’
Haack had no problems on the set with her first ex-husband Tarek.
El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae, 37, co-star in the house flipping show set to debut in 2025.
‘Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some could call it “flirty,”‘ she said, explaining it was more a ‘sibling type of thing.’
Haack said she had been using El Moussa as a sounding board and ‘telling him that things were bad for at least a year… probably 18 months.’

El Moussa revealed Haack seemed to be returning to her old self after filing for divorce in July.
‘At the beginning, she was going through it, you know, but she recovers really quick, he told ET.
‘You can just tell, her energy’s back. She’s happy. She’s excited about life, like, she’s doing good.’
Ant Anstead, 45, Haack’s second ex-husband, was seen filming some scenes from The Flip Off recently in Los Angeles.
