Articles about left-wing media nonsense (bald-faced lying) like this almost write themselves.
Joy Reid, the smug and race-obsessed host of MSNBC, made a claim on Thursday that might come across as laughable to many – that DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) isn’t what most people think it’s about.
Reid appeared to challenge the common narrative by suggesting that DEI isn’t about pitting different groups against each other, whether it’s Black Americans versus White Americans, issues related to the LGBTQ community, debates over preferred pronouns, controversies around men using women’s bathrooms, or even the placement of tampons in men’s restrooms.
Contrary to popular belief, Reid and her guest, Everett Kelley, the National President of the American Federation of Government Employees, argued on “The ReidOut” that the primary focus of DEI should be to support disabled veterans in America. This unexpected perspective sheds new light on the concept.
In reaction to President Trump’s executive order to close DEI offices across the federal government, Reid mused:
This memo, we can put it up on screen, and it went to all heads and acting heads of departments and agencies, shuttering DEI offices and other things. What is the union’s response going to be?
Spoiler: It doesn’t matter what the union thinks about Trump’s order, one way or another.
