Skinny jeans have apparently made their way onto the 2025 bingo card — and Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have some thoughts.
The hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark began the show on Thursday morning by talking about the upcoming trends for 2025. They mentioned several trends that people will be wearing, including “picture perfect PJs,” “suede,” and “the return of skinny jeans.” Ripa reacted with an “oh God,” while Consuelos expressed excitement.
“Yes!” he exclaimed with a chuckle. “Finally. I can start wearing those again.”
Ripa countered, “I’m too attached to my crotch breathing. My crotch started breathing a few years ago, and I’m not willing to suffocate it again.”
Consuelos asked whether the projected trend is just for women, to which Ripa replied that it’s for “all people.”
Consuelos shared a funny story about his slim jeans and how his daughter Lola would make fun of him. He mentioned a meme featuring a dog struggling to fit into skinny jeans, which made everyone laugh.
Ripa quipped, “She goes, ‘No, Dad. No!’”
Consuelos added, “She goes, ‘That’s what you look like.’”
As they discussed the trend of “cherry red” for 2025, the hosts pulled up the meme on screen. It showed a French bulldog standing on its hind legs and wearing skinny jeans, adding a humorous touch to the conversation.
While Ripa noted, “that’s men in skinny jeans,” Consuelos ultimately concluded that’s “not a good look.”Nonetheless, Ripa closed out the segment about “what we’re going to be wearing” by making another case for “pajamas as outerwear.”
“Trust me when I tell you, as somebody that now fully embraces pajamas as outerwear, that’s your jam,” she insisted. “It is the best. Best thing you can do.”
Consuelos agreed, “You won’t go back.”
