Mayor Karen Bass has taken a significant step forward by declaring a local emergency in downtown Los Angeles and implementing a curfew. This move indicates her acknowledgment of the issues she had previously been reluctant to admit.
#BREAKING: A CURFEW has just been issued for Downtown Los Angeles from 8pm to 6am, per Mayor Bass

It is noted that Mayor Bass’ response should have come sooner as she admitted to over twenty looted businesses. She emphasized the extensive graffiti damage affecting numerous properties and businesses in the area. Mayor Bass also issued a strong warning of arrest for those who do not comply with the newly imposed curfew. Additionally, she informed the public about the collaborative efforts of hundreds of officers from various enforcement agencies working alongside the LAPD.
I wonder if that may mean that they just go outside of the LAPD area, but at least that’s something.
There were also actions in other cities.
There was a huge group in Chicago.

Looks like some were going to “find out” that wasn’t a great move, and there’s going to be a lot of unrest this evening.
