Chicago Culture Ball

The Chicago Culture Ball is set for Saturday.

Eventnoire is gearing up to host their third annual Chicago Culture Ball on Saturday. This event, attended by over 600 people, is a tribute to Chicago’s changemakers who have played a significant role in defining the city’s cultural landscape.

In the past, the Culture Ball has celebrated individuals such as Val Warner, Jeremih, and the organization “ChiGivesBack.” This year, the honorees will include prominent figures from McDonald’s, the Obama Foundation, and SocialWorks. CEO Jeff Osuji and Executive Director Justin Cunningham shared details with Val Warner and Leon about what attendees can look forward to at this year’s event.

Neighborhood Walk – Richard Roeper

Richard Roeper went on a neighborhood walk and talked about what to see this weekend.

While events at City Hall in the south suburb of Dolton have garnered attention in recent times, it is not for positive reasons. The town, particularly Mayor Tiffany Henyard, is facing scrutiny from the FBI regarding her management of the village’s finances.

But, the reality is that Dolton has long been a haven for working-class families looking for affordable, attractive housing.

In the latest edition of “Our Chicago: Neighborhood Walk,” Val Warner took a tour of Dolton with one of its most notable former residents: movie critic Richard Roeper.
