Love Island USA boasts sexy singles and luxurious tropical locales — but where does the latest season take place?
Viewers of the popular reality dating show returned to the tropical villas on Tuesday night (June 3) with host Ariana Madix, who took over from Sarah Hyland last season. Season 6 was filmed in Fiji and some of the previous islanders are coming together for a new series called Love Island: Beyond the Villa.
When asked about what advice she would offer the new cast, the former Vanderpump Rules star mentioned to DECIDER the importance of staying true to themselves, highlighting how authentic they were in the last season of Love Island.
She emphasized that despite being in a different setting, being genuine is key. “But I think as long as they stick to that and be really themselves, I feel like that’s why we all fell in love with all of them in the first place. And you can’t go wrong if you’re just being yourself.”
Wondering where Season 7 of Love Island USA is filmed? Here is what we know.
The latest installment was filmed in Fiji. In fact, Season 7 takes place in the same villa where Season 6 was shot, per People. When Madix caught up with DECIDER in May, she said she was “so excited” to head back this summer for a new season.
“Every season of Love Island, in any country, it always brings something new and different and you never really know what you’re going to get until the ball is already rolling, the train has already left the station,” she shared. I find myself in the past watching seasons, maybe the first couple episodes, I’m like, “I don’t know.” And then by episode three, four, five, I’m hooked. I’m in love with them. I want them to be my best friends. I’m like, “Please, I can’t get enough.” So I’m just really excited to see what this year’s gonna be like because it’s really anyone’s guess.
The Love Island USA Season 7 cast kicked off last night with these ten islanders: Ace Greene, Austin Shepard, Belle-a Walker, Chelley Bissainthe, Huda Mustafa, Jeremiah Brown, Nicholas Vansteenberghe, Olandria Carthen, Taylor Williams, and Yulissa Escobar.
Up until next Tuesday (June 10), a new episode of Love Island drops on Peacock every night at 9 p.m. ET. After that, new episodes will stream Thursday-Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
