Maine Gov.-Trump Tussle Over Women's Sports EO Sparks 'Review' of University's Title IX Compliance

Some on the Left are more hardheaded than others, it appears.

President Donald Trump, during a meeting at the White House with the country’s governors on a Friday, mentioned his Executive Order regarding Title IX and the participation of biological men in women’s sports. He pointed out that some states are refusing to comply with this order, specifically calling out Maine’s governor who confirmed that her state will not adhere to the new directive. Sister Toldjah, a colleague, highlighted the encounter:

During the National Governors Association working session at the White House, tension arose when Trump directly addressed Maine’s Democratic Governor Janet Mills.

There are additional details to this story, including the aftermath of unfounded allegations of bullying from left-leaning individuals, which are covered in Toldjah’s article on the dispute:

Sure enough, the Trump administration jumped right on the issue on Saturday, starting a “compliance review” of a Maine higher learning institution’s adherence to Title IX, underlining the hard facts that Pres. Trump mentioned to the governor–don’t comply, and your state is getting no more moola.

On Saturday, Secretary of Agriculture (USDA) Brooke Rollins shared an image showing the department’s document in an X post:

The USDA press release read, in part:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has initiated a of the University of Maine following the State of Maine’s blatant disregard for President Trump’s Executive Order (EO) 14201, Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.
