During a recent crackdown on criminal aliens following President Donald Trump’s return to the White House, law enforcement officers have encountered a significant number of Chinese migrants in Coral Gables, Florida. At least four suspected smugglers from Cuba and one from Haiti have been apprehended in connection with this situation.
Local authorities in Coral Gables are calling for increased resources from both state and federal levels to better safeguard their community, which is situated just west of Miami.
The waterfront city has more coastline to protect than Miami Beach.
Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.Â
Illegal immigrants from China have increased in number dramatically over the past several years, Fox News Digital previously reported.Â
Between the fiscal years of 2021 and 2024, they accounted for an increase of more than 8,000%.Â
This surge in enforcement activities coincides with concerns raised by U.S. lawmakers about the influence of China in South and Central America, as well as the potential national security threats posed by its rapidly expanding tech industry.
